We have now considered your request of 10 August 2026 for the following information:

Question 1. For the academic year 2024/25, please provide the number of students at the University who are Chinese nationals, broken down into the following categories:

1. Total number of Chinese students

2. Chinese undergraduate students

3. Chinese postgraduate taught (PGT) students

4. Chinese postgraduate research (PGR) students

Please provide the figures as student headcount rather than FTE, if possible.

If the University uses a different classification or statistical year, please provide the closest available figures and indicate the relevant definition.

Our response:

Total number of Chinese students = 915

Number of Chinese Undergraduate students = 710

Number of Chinese Postgraduate Taught students = 143

Number of Chinese Postgraduate Research students = 62
