FOI_26-175 Equality Diversity and Inclusion training

We have now considered your request of 07 August 2026 for the following information:

I would be grateful if you could provide the following information relating to your university's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI/DEI) training.

I am interested in trainings from the last two academic years.

Question 1. Please provide details of all current EDI/DEI training provided to staff.

Our response:

All staff are required to complete mandatory training for Diversity in the Workplace, and Understanding Sexual Misconduct. This has been the case for the last two academic years.

Question 2. Please provide details of all current EDI/DEI training provided to students

Our response:

Students are not expected to complete any EDI/DEI training, and there is no student-specific training provided to students. This has been the case for the last two academic years.

Question 3. Please provide copies of the training materials, slide decks, written guidance, handbooks or other documents used in delivering any mandatory EDI/DEI training.

Our response:

Please see FOI_26-175 Appendix A for our Diversity in the Workplace training transcript, and FOI_26-175 Appendix B for our Understanding Sexual Misconduct training transcript. This training has been in place for the last two academic years.
