FOI_26-150 Paramedic Science graduates and employability

We have now considered your request of 07July 2026 for the following information:
Question 1. The number of graduates from the paramedic science course per year for the past five years.
Our response:

The Paramedic Science course discontinued in 2022-23, hence we have no graduates in beyond 2021-22.
Question 2. The number and/or percentage of Paramedic Science graduates currently in full time work as a paramedic per year for the past five years. I have checked the graduate outcomes data published by HESA and this does not provide the level of detail that I require. Please provide any relevant recorded information held from any sources, including information held on your alumni system.
Our response:
Over this period, we have 100% employability, with nearly everyone joining UK based ambulance services. Mainly EEAST. Although, we are expecting this to drop as workforces become more saturated against operational budgets.
Question 3. Minutes of meetings discussing the employability of paramedic science graduates from the past three years.
Our response:
On this occasion it is not possible to provide any of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for minutes of meeting discussing the employability of paramedic science graduates from the last three years. Whilst we have no minutes of such meetings, none were taken, we have had discussions with employers and universities regarding employability.
Question 4. Minutes of meetings discussing waiting lists for newly qualified paramedic jobs from the past three years.

On this occasion it is not possible to provide any of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for minutes of meetings discussing waiting lists for newly qualified jobs from the last three years.
