Our response:
Something else.
UEA has a one stop shop approach which is accessible online, in person, and by phone Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 during university opening periods. This is in addition to robust communications about how students can access support in various modes such as social media campaigns, pre-arrivals comms and in-person drop ins.
There is signposting information available to students online via the student services blackboard HUB
Other staff across the university will signpost as appropriate to external services dependent on the needs of the student. We do not signpost to any ‘for profit’ organisations. The BBHUB is a source of clear signposting and self help information which can aid this.
In addition signposting is offered in the form of email signatures and out of office responses which indicate key services such as 999, 111 (option2), listening services, walk in service and local GP practice.
Question 3b. What other approaches to signposting does your university take?*
