We have now considered your request of 14 September 2025 for the following information:

I am writing to request admissions statistics for the Medicine A100 course for the 2026 entry cycle. I would be grateful if you could provide the following information, with each figure given separately:

Question 1. The total number of standard non-contextual home applicants for the A100 course

Question 2. The total number of home applicants for the A100 course, broken down separately for each of the following categories:

a. Applicants in receipt of or eligible for free school meals

b. Applicants in receipt of the 16-19 Bursary Fund or Discretionary Learner Support or Means Tested Benefit or Pupil Premium

c. Applicants who are in, or have been in, local authority care

Question 3. The total number of standard non-contextual offers made to home applicants for the A100 course

Question 4. The total number of offers made to home applicants for the A100 course, broken down separately for each of the following categories:

a. Offer holders in receipt of or eligible for free school meals

b. Offer holders in receipt of the 16-19 Bursary Fund or Discretionary Learner Support or Means Tested Benefit or Pupil Premium

c. Offer holders who are in, or have been in, local authority care

Our response:

On this occasion it is not possible to provide any of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for the number of standard non-contextual home applicants to the MB BS Medicine (A100) course for 2026 entry.

The University will not receive applications for 2026 entry year, for this course, until 15 October 2025. Thereafter, the admissions cycle will be ‘live’ until the following October, and only then will the admissions data you have requested be available for disclosure. Therefore, we do not hold any of the requested information as of the date of your request being received.
