We have now considered your request of 22 August 2025 for the following information:

Question 1. Could you please provide the following information:

The total legal fees incurred by the University in seeking legal advice and actions protests since October 2023. This should include preliminary consultations, lawyers letters, etc — anything connected with University legal advice and action against protesters.

Our response:

On this occasion it is not possible to provide any of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for any fees incurred by the University in seeking legal advice and actions relating to Protests (anything connected with action against protest action and protesters) since O1 October 2023. The University have paid no fees for any legal advice or legal action in relation to protests or protesters in this period.

Question 2. Please provide a full breakdown of these fees, and the specific actions they were billed for (i.e preliminary letter, court hearing, etc).
