We have now considered your request of 19 August 2025 for the following information:
Question 1. Broken down by academic year, the number of unconditional offers the university made to British students.
Please can the information be provided by academic years 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25.

For our records, British has been defined as those recorded as being from 'Great Britain'.
Please note that the University only makes an unconditional offer where the student has achieved the admission criteria prior to applying.
They may still be conditional on non-Academic requirements, and these are included in the figures above i.e they are unconditional based on Academic requirements.
Applicants with academic conditions are only made ‘unconditional’ when they have presented their completed studies to us.
This does not include Clearing activity, where an applicant will apply with their grades achieved.
Question 2.) For the academic year 2024/25 only - Details of any type of incentives or inducements that have been offered to prospective students.
These would include offers of cash money, discounts on tuition fees, offers of student equipment (laptops, iPads etc) or discounts on university rental accommodation, for accepting offers from the university or achieving certain grades.
Note: For the second question, I am just looking for details on the types of incentives or inducements offered to students on an individual basis, rather than the total cost of these offers to the university.
Our response:
On this occasion it is not possible to provide any/all of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for details of any type of incentives or inducements offered to prospective students in 2024-25 academic year, and the total cost of these offers to the University.
No incentive has been offered for this academic year. The University does offer the opportunity of applying for Scholarships and Bursaries, however we do not offer incentives or inducements to students on an individual basis.
