We have now considered your request of 07 August 2025 for the following information:

I am writing to submit a freedom of information request regarding your Medicine BMBS course A100 as it is not readily available or has not been updated on your course pages.

Could you please provide the following:

Question 1. a. For 2025 entry, how many applicants did you have to A100?

b. Of those applicants, how many were invited to interview?

c. Of those applicants in 2.b., how many candidates received an offer?

Our response:

On this occasion it is not possible to provide any of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for the total number of applications received, the number of those invited to interview and the number of offers made for the A100 Medicine course for 2025 entry. At the time of your request, we are still in a live admissions cycle, therefore we do not hold the information. The current cycle will end after 06 October 2025.

Question 2. a. For 2025 entry, what was the minimum UCAT score required for an invite to interview?

b. For 2025 entry, of your applicants to A100, what was the highest UCAT score?

c. For 2025 entry, of your applicants to A100, what was the average UCAT score?

On this occasion it is not possible to provide any of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for the minimum UCAT score required for an applicant to be invited to interview, or the highest and lowest UCAT scores of applicants to the A100 Medicine course for 2025 entry. At the time of your request, we are still in a live admissions cycle, therefore we do not hold the information. The current cycle will end after 06 October 2025.

Question 3. Is there a specific subsection of the UCAT that is weighted more heavily upon assessment of application to A100? If yes, which subsection?
