We have now considered your request of 08 July 2025 for the following information:

For the year 1/7/24 - 31/7/25.

The number of Clinical Academic Staff in Norwich Medical School that did not have a joint appraisal with combined UEA and NHS appraisers both present at the same time.

Our response:

On this occasion it is not possible to provide any of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for the number of clinical academic staff at Norwich Medical School that did not have a joint appraisal with a combined UEA and NHS appraisers both present at the same time.

We do not hold information which confirms if any MED staff did not have both UEA and NHS appraisers present at the same time during their appraisal.

Outside of the Act, we can confirm that we have records which indicate two individuals did not have a face-to-face joint appraisal where this is usually required, however the information we hold does not state whether this was done online and both appraisers attended, or if the appraisal was rescheduled; we do not hold this information therefore although the appraisals were joint appraisals we cannot confirm if both appraisers were in attendance at the same time.
