We have now considered your request of 07 July 2025 for the following information:
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding payments made by University of East Anglia to external suppliers.
I understand that universities are not currently required to publish supplier-level spend data in the same way that some other public sector bodies do. However, I believe that such information can contribute to greater transparency and a better understanding of public procurement across sectors.
As a point of reference, central government departments are required to publish all payments over £25,000, in line with Cabinet Office guidance:
I would therefore be grateful if you could provide a list of payments made by the university to external suppliers between 1st April 2024 and 31st March 2025, where the individual payment exceeded £25,000. If full data for this period is not yet available, I would be happy to receive the data up to the latest month currently held.
If possible, please include the following fields for each payment:
• Supplier name
• Amount paid
• Date of payment (month/year is sufficient)
• Brief description or category of the spend (if available)
