We have now considered your request of 01 July 2025 for the following information:

I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, for the academic year 2024–2025:

Please include reports made through both informal and formal channels, such as 'Report and Support' systems, complaints procedures, disciplinary processes, or any other university reporting mechanisms.

If possible, I would also appreciate clarification on:

Whether the figures provided relate to incidents reported by students, staff, or both.

Whether any of the reports resulted in further investigation or disciplinary action.

Question 1. The total number of reported incidents of racism involving students and/or staff.

Our response:

Eight reports of racism were received during 2024-25. Two reports involving staff and six reports involving students.

5 Students reported incidents and 1 anonymous report and 2 reported by staff.

Only two reports resulted in further investigation or disciplinary action.

Question 2. The total number of reported incidents of antisemitism involving students and/or staff.

Our response:

One reported by a staff member. This did not result in any further action.

Question 3. The total number of reported incidents of Islamophobia involving students and/or staff.

Our response:

Zero.
