Please provide the following information for the period 1 April 2022 to the date of this request:

Question 1. External guidance and communications

Has your university received any guidance, advice, recommendations, or formal communications from any of the following external bodies in relation to:

• Palestine or Gaza-related protests, demonstrations, or encampments on campus

• Events or speakers relating to Gaza or Palestine

• Student or staff activism concerning Gaza or Palestine

Please include communications from:

• Government departments (e.g. Home Office, Department for Education)

• The Office for Students (OfS)

• Universities UK or other sectoral representative bodies

• Local authorities or police

• Embassies or diplomatic representatives

• Any other external organisations providing advice on managing or responding to the above issues

For each communication, please include:

• The name of the organisation or body issuing the advice

• The date it was received

• A brief summary of the advice or guidance provided

• Any resulting action or policy change at your university, if applicable

On this occasion it is not possible to provide any of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for any guidance, recommendations or formal communications from any of the noted external bodies in relation to Palestine or Gaza-related protects, events or speakers or student/staff activism concerning Gaza or Palestine for the requested period; 01 April 2022 to 09 June 2025.
