Date of response: 18 December 2024
We have now considered your Freedom of Information request of 06 December 2024 for the following information:
Question 1. The number of applications made to the HRA and Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW) via the integrated Research Application System (IRAS) for research undertaken by Trainees on your course as part of their for each calendar year from 2017 – 2023 (7 years).
Question 2. The number of papers based on DClinPsy research published in peer-reviewed journals for the same period. (calendar year 2017- 2023). This would be a paper based on research undertake as part of the DClinPsy thesis, usually with former (or occasionally current) trainee as the first author.
Question 3. The ratio of staff to trainees on you course for the same period. This can be based on the data you have for the beginning of each academic year, if that is easier; how many course staff you had on payroll: number of trainees starting. (e.g. September 2017 staff: student ratio, September 2018 ratio etc).
Please enter this information into the excel spreadsheet attached.
Optional:
The first part of the request is the most pressing. However, it would also be extremely useful if you could provide the following information, which may be readily available as you gather the previous information.
Question 4. If possible, please provide the short title of each research study submitted to IRAS for each year.
Question 5. If possible, please provide the short title of each published paper by publication year.
Please enter this information into second and third tabs of the excel doc.
However, If you have them in another format which will be less cumbersome for you to complete, I will be happy to use that, as long as it is clear which dates each was either submitted to IRAS or published.
Our response:
Please see accompanying document, our ref: FOI_24-333 Appendix A.
