UEA Autumn Literary Festival – Spies, Lies and Brain Surgery

International spies, America’s lost war, the challenge of brain surgery, plus biography, memoirs and leading novelists; this is the eclectic mix on offer this autumn at UEA’s Autumn Literary Festival 2018.
Guests include Christopher Andrew, official historian of MI5, Sir Max Hastings who will share his history of the Vietnam War, and Henry Marsh, pioneering brain surgeon extraordinaire.
Joining them will be the biographer and memoirist Claire Tomalin, recent UEA Chancellor, novelist and memoirist Rose Tremain, Jonathan Coe, a number of whose novels has been adapted for television and film, and novelist, playwright and essayist, Caryl Phillips, together with the eminent Dame Margaret Drabble. Between them, they have won an astonishing array of awards. Together, they will make up the most intriguing festival of recent years.
UEA’s Autumn Literary Festival will run from October through to the end of November and will feature esteemed writers and thinkers:

UEA’s Autumn Literary Festival is run by the Arthur Miller Institute in Lecture Theatre One at 7pm. Tickets on sale from Tuesday 14 August priced at £9 for individual tickets, £5 for students, or buy a season ticket for £54 (concessions £45).

Money raised from the sale of tickets goes to fund student scholarships at UEA.
