Ahead of the fifteenth annual International Graphic Novels and Comics Conference (IGNCC), which takes place between 10-12 July in The Enterprise Centre, UEA, Dr Geraint D'Arcy (School of Art, Media and American Studies) and other experts in the field explore comics and technologies, and the impact of AI on the artform.
The insightful contributors discuss how technology benefits their work – from online international meetings to advances in digital note taking – and how they feel AI will impact their industry and fellow artists. The benefits to efficiency are seen as a positive, but there is clear sentiment from some contributors that “AI has done and continues to do bad by artists.”
The Innovation and Impact Awards are back for 2025 and looking to recognise and reward UEA’s most game changing staff, students, and graduates, and their collaborative work with partners outside the University.
