    Richard Stephenson's research back-ground: PhD at Cambridge in the group of Lord Lewis, FRS. Research Fellowship at the Australian National University (Canberra) in the group of Sir Arthur J. Birch FRS, after which I returned to Cambridge in 1982 as a Research Fellow at Girton College. I joined UEA as a Royal Society 1983 Research fellow in 1984. In 1991 I was appointed to a Lectureship at UEA, promoted to Senior Lecturer in 1993 and Reader in 1995. If you would like more details, you can read my CV on the web.
