It’s not compulsory but Open Days are an excellent way of giving you a real insight into what university life can be like. You’ll get to speak to current students and ask any burning questions you are bound to have. It’s also a great way to explore other aspects of student life that you’re interested in such as the Sportspark or our onsite art gallery, The Sainsbury Centre.

If you can’t make it to one of our on-campus Open Days, you can come along to one of our Campus Tours or Mini Open Daysthroughout the year, or take a look at our Virtual Open Day.

You are more than welcome to bring guests with you. If you are bringing children, please ensure they are accompanied by an appropriate adult who carries full responsibility for the child during the day.

If you’re coming by car, please park at the Norwich Costessey park and ride, postcode: NR9 3LX, for free. UEA representatives will be there to welcome you when you arrive. All open days run from 09:00 - 16:00 and you can spend as much time on campus as you like. Most people stay for a few hours to get a feel for the campus. You don’t need to book onto any talks – you can just use the programme to plan your own schedule.

Follow the signs to the Welcome Zone to check in, pick up a programme and a campus map so you can plan your day. Spend a few minutes looking at the events and highlight the talks you don’t want to miss. There will be a welcome talk which will give you a feel for what UEA is like and what you can get out of living and studying here.
No booking is necessary for any of the Open Day activities. If you download our programme for the day, you will find a talk timetable so that you can schedule your day around the talks that you want to attend. Then simply arrive at the location of your talk when it's due to start. Tours of accommodation and campus can be taken at any time from 9am - 3:30pm, just make your way to the Tours Tent and you can go with the next tour.
UEA campus is like a small village and is brimming with places to eat and drink which offer a wide variety of menus. You can see a full list of cafes here Eat and Drink - Campus Life - UEA.

All our events are designed for you to experience what it would really be like to study here at UEA, however each has a specific focus.

An Open Day is a full-day event, where you can explore everything that UEA has to offer. We run campus and accommodation tours with our student ambassadors, or you can take a self-guided tour at your own pace. You can attend subject talks and demonstrations relevant to the subjects you're interested in, and visit our Student Information Zone to find out more about all things finance, support services and careers. Our campus eateries, Sportspark and Sainsbury Centre are all open, and you can take a walk around our green spaces.

An Applicant Day is specifically for those who have an offer to study here at UEA. This event is to provide a more in-depth insight into your chosen course, with information and taster sessions. We also run a couple of Q&A panels; one with current students, and one specifically for parents, carers and guests. We also have our campus and accommodation tours running, so you can take a look around if this is your first time to campus, or if take another look if you have previously been to an Open Day.

A Mini Open Day is perfect for you if you can’t make it to a full Open Day. You’ll be able to attend talks on student life, finance and accommodation, and take a guided tour of our campus, facilities and student residences. Mini Open Days offer a general overview of UEA life and don’t include scheduled subject-specific content, although there may be a chance to chat with academic staff.

A Campus Tour is a more personalised experience, where you can take a look around the campus and accommodation in a small group with one of our student ambassadors. There is not usually any subject-related activities on a Campus Tour.

If you would like to visit campus but can't make one of our Open Day dates, we’d love you to come to one of our Campus Tours or Mini Open Days.

Campus Tours give you the chance to see our campus and accommodation with a guided tour led by a current student.

Mini Open Days also feature a guided tour of campus, alongside the chance to attend talks on student life, finance and accommodation, and meet staff from key service areas.
