Are you ready for university? Our free online course introduces the key skills you’ll need at university, helping you to get ahead before you start your course.

Higher education is just that: education at a higher level.

To help you succeed in higher education, UEA lecturers have identified some key skills for you to focus on, such as supporting an argument with evidence, thinking critically about source material, and managing your own learning. We've created this Preparing for University course to help you develop those skills before you begin your studies.

The course is designed with young people in mind, but we’d recommend your teachers do the course too – why not share it with them? This course is hosted on Ryze Pro (available as a free mobile app and on your browser) and can be accessed at any time throughout the year. 

How to access the Preparing for University course

1. Use the buttons below to download the Ryze Pro app from your device's app store.

2. Register using your email address.

3. Verify your email address and return to the app.

4. Tap 'Add course via access code' and enter the code prep4uni (case sensitive).
