British Council GREAT Scholarship
This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, UEA is offering a GREAT Scholarship worth £10,000 to students from Ghana.
Eligibility
The GREAT Scholarship is open to all passport holding nationals of Ghana who hold an offer of a full-time UEA postgraduate taught degree programme for January 2026 entry.

What does it cover?
There is one scholarship of £10,000 available.
The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

Restrictions with other Scholarships
This scholarship can only be received alongside the International Early Payment Awards. You are not able to receive any other UEA Scholarships in addition to this. If you are eligible for another UEA Scholarship of higher value, this will automatically replace this Scholarship.

How to apply
This award is designed to reward applicants who have been offered a place to study with UEA and who can clearly and concisely explain how studying here at UEA will help them to make an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of study by answering the following question:
How will your experience at UEA help you to develop your knowledge and skills for the future?
Submissions can be made by completing a written statement of no more than 500 words.
In your submission you should:
Tell us how the skills gained from your course will help you meet your future career aspirations.
Consider the different social and extra-curricular opportunities available to you at UEA, and outline how you may engage with these in order to enhance your experience, and those of your fellow students.
When applying for this scholarship, you must already be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for a postgraduate taught degree course starting at UEA in January 2026. Your offer should state that you are an international fee-paying student.
