UEA's Celebration of Doris Lessing at 100
The University of East Anglia (UEA) enjoyed a long association with Lessing, where she held the title of Distinguished Fellow of Literature.
What's more, UEA's British Archive for Contemporary Writing (BACW) proudly hosts her vast archive of correspondence, diaries and personal papers.
To mark this important milestone, UEA's School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing, in partnership with the BACW, hosted a range of events and a major exhibition at the Sainsbury Centre on 12-14 September 2019. These included a major international conference.
One of the major fiction writers of the second half of the 20th century and one of the most vividly representative literary figures of our times.
