The UEA UNESCO Chair review group
A review group was set up in 2016 when the UEA UNESCO Chair was established. The group consists of: specialists in adult literacy and community learning; UNESCO Chair coordinators from each partner university; the University of East Anglia core team, the Chair and Co-Chairs; key representatives from the Section of Youth, Literacy and Skills Development UNESCO, UK National Commission for UNESCO and UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning. The UEA UNESCO Chair has benefited greatly from their advice and inputs over the years, particularly through our annual review meetings. Since 2016, these meetings have taken a hybrid form, being hosted in turn by the UEA and partner institutions to raise visibility through an in-person event in their own university community. The annual review group meetings have been combined with a one-day UNESCO Chair conference or workshop in the host university.
