20 July 2021: The Gender-ing ELT project team welcomes a new member: Gulsah Kutuk joins the University of East Anglia as the UK-based Research Associate.
03 July 2021: Vander Viana and Aisling O'Boyle participated in the Educational Forum "Looking to the future: How our work in education could be supported for sustainable development and social wellbeing" at the Chinese Educational Research Association (CERA) Annual Conference 2021. Their presentation was entitled "Sustainable development in English language education: Researching gender matters across countries".

05 May 2021: Vander Viana published a review of Sauntson's (2020) new book - Researching language, gender and sexuality: A student guide - in Applied Linguistics.

20 January 2021: Excellent news! The research team in charge of “Gender-ing ELT: International perspectives, practices and policies” has just been informed about the successful outcome of its submission to the British Council’s Widening Participation Research Grants. The proposal has scored extremely high in all three evaluation criteria and was ranked #1 in the theme “Gender Equity and Equality in English Language Learning and Teaching”.
