Academic staff in the School of International Development run annual short courses on a range of subjects for professionals working in international development.
Our School provides a broad-based multi-disciplinary environment in which to undertake professional training on topics such as: Impact Evaluation; Climate Change; Water Security; Beyond Surveys; Gender and Development; and Forest Governance.
Our training courses are designed and run by academic staff with strong research experience and applied expertise. Course Directors bring together skills from within international development and across UEA to deliver courses that draw on a wide range of expertise and perspectives.
Our courses are attended by employees of government organisations, Non-governmental Organisations, international agencies and private organisations, and independent consultants. They are aimed at professionals who do not have an existing specialism in the topic and who want to deepen their knowledge to enhance their practice. Our research-led short courses seek to educate, inform, and promote discussion and networking between participants and researchers. They provide cutting-edge training on the most pertinent and relevant topics in international development.
Bespoke training can be provided at your work place, or hosted on our beautiful campus with 24 hour access to our library and computing facilities.
