Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions about our COVID-19 advice for International Students.

The University recognises that the situation surrounding the pandemic has been particularly tough for international students. There is a range of support available, including a dedicated team within Student Services for international students, who offer:

  • Personal/welfare advice – such as settling into life in the UK, or preparing to return home
  • General advice – such as opening a UK bank account or academic procedures, for example
  • Visa and immigration advice – such as applying for/extending a Tier 4 visa, or help with any general visa and immigration enquiries

Student Services also provide specific support to international students on arrival to the University, including supported transport to UEA from airports and helping students settle in to life at UEA when they arrive.

You can find a range of resources on their My UEA pages. If you would like to book an appointment with an adviser, please complete the online referral form or email studentsupport@uea.ac.uk

You can find a step-by-step guide on travelling to and from England on the UK Government’s website. Please do also check any guidance for the country you are travelling to, as this may differ.

Please get in touch with the team at the Student Information Zone by email or live chat, who will be happy to signpost you to the information you need.
