The University is very pleased to be part of the Stonewall Diversity Champions Programme. This is an employers’ programme, which works to ensure that all LGBT+ staff are accepted without exception in the workplace.
We make an annual submission to the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, a benchmarking exercise to assess an organisation’s work on LGBT+ equality against others in the Sector. Our fourth submission was made in September 2019 and we are pleased to have made year-on-year progress.
The University has a strong network of LGBT+ members in addition to 350 allies who attend Norwich Pride, wear a rainbow lanyard or pin to show support to the LGBT+ members of our UEA community.
