Societies and Clubs
Find your tribe and follow your passion by joining societies and clubs.
UEA Students’ Union, Union House, University of East Anglia, Norwich, NR4 7TJ.
Clubs and societies are a great way to enhance your university experience. They’ve helped me socialise outside my course mates, are fun and have boosted my CV without taking away from my studies.

Frank's Bar
A chilled spot for coffee, dinner or drinks with friends.
19 Bedford Street, Norwich, NR2 1AR.
When a group of us visited, we sat upstairs where the walls are lined with artwork and antique books. Staff were quick to take our orders and happy with special requests. A lively atmosphere, but quiet enough to chat comfortably.

The Mischief
A locals pub with a great reputation, pool tables and table football.
8 Fye Bridge Street, Norwich, NR3 1HZ.
The Mischief is a quaint local pub, popular for its prices, personality and pool. Cheap drinks and packed with familiar faces.

Unthank Arms
A Victorian pub with an incredible selection of wine.
149 Newmarket Street, Norwich, NR2 2DR.
You’ll mostly be joined by the company of warm locals sharing stories indoors or in the cosy sheltered outdoor areas.

Cinemas
From the biggest blockbusters to art house films, you’ll find a movie to suit your mood at Norwich’s cinemas.
Various locations around the city.
The ODEON is one of my top picks. It has great screens, sound and seating. There are a number of other cinemas in Norwich, including Vue and Cinema City. Recently prices have been cut, but the experience is still premium.

Norwich Castle & Museum & Art Gallery
Dive into Norwich’s past at the castle and its museum.
Castle Hill, Norwich, NR1 3JU.
There’s a grand collection of things to see and lots to discover on every visit. I enjoyed the natural history, artwork and the dungeons. There’s also lots for kids to do (or you can pretend to be a big kid!)
