Weekday Applicant Days - Travelling by Car

Free parking with a short shuttle bus journey is available at Harford Park and Ride, NR4 6US, as parking won't be available on campus unless you are a blue badge holder.

On arrival at the Park and Ride, please head to the main bus stop, where you will be greeted by UEA student guides.

Saturday Applicant Days - Travelling by Car

We have free parking available for all visitors in our main car park on campus (p1 on the campus map). The postcode to use with SATNAV is NR4 7TJ.

Please take a plastic token when you enter the car park and keep this with you until you leave. As you leave the car park, place the token in the slot at the at the exit barrier - make sure you do not go to the pay machines because you will be charged. Any lost tokens will be charged at £25.00.

On arrival, you will be greeted by student guides who will direct you to your check in location.

Travelling by Bus
We've partnered with First Bus to offer you free all-day bus tickets on the city network to explore the city of Norwich for you and your guests on your Applicant Day. UEA is on Blue Line 25 and 26, with buses every 7 minutes to the city.

Travelling by Train
Book your train tickets to Norwich Railway Station and you can catch First Bus Blue Line number 25 or 26 straight to campus from outside the station. We've partnered with First Bus to offer you free return bus tickets from the railway station.

There will be severe train disruption between London and Norwich on Saturday the 25th of January. In addition, Abellio Greater Anglia are not providing replacement buses between London and Thetford or between London and Diss, meaning your journey may become complicated.

To avoid the disruption, we suggest taking the Megabus from London Stratford which will bring you directly to UEA campus. With low cost tickets and only a 2 hour journey, we hope this coach service will offer a nicer experience than coming to Norwich via train on the day.

If you would still like to travel via train from London, we recommend purchasing an advance train ticket that will take you through Ingatestone. When searching for fares between London and Norwich on the Greater Anglia or Trainline websites, click on ‘Via/Avoid’ and then choose the ‘Go Via’ option, where you enter ‘Ingatestone’. The journey will include bus replacements and will take roughly 4 hours, however tickets are available for £10.

If you are late to your Applicant Day, we will ensure upon your arrival that you are taken to your school of study for your afternoon sessions. We’ll also be offering late tours of campus and accommodation.

If you would like to change your Applicant Day booking or discuss alternative travel arrangements due to these issues, please get in touch by emailing applicantdays@uea.ac.uk or calling +44(0)1603 593251.
