Can I look around a specific academic department?
You will be able to see inside some of our teaching rooms but you won't be able to look around specialist facilities, such as labs. Academics and admissions staff will be available to chat to in our registration area. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any specific requests to see an academic from your course and we will try our best to help.
What will I see on my Campus Tour?
You will see all of our main facilities, as listed on our Campus Tours webpage, including the Sportspark and Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts.
If there is anywhere you would like to go in particular then please let the Student Ambassador leading your tour know!
We cannot guarantee that you will be able to see the buildings at our Hospital Site but we will have Nursing and Medicine students available for you to talk to.
How do I get to campus if I am coming by train?
The numbers 25 and 26 bus go from outside Norwich Train Station to UEA, via Norwich city centre. Buses take about half an hour and leave approximately every 10 minutes. You can also get a taxi from outside the station.
What should I wear?
We don't mind what you wear but would recommend comfortable footwear! A lot of the tour will be outside so we would advise that you war weather appropriate clothing.
Is there anywhere to buy food/drink on campus?
Yes, we have several catering outlets and shops on campus, which can be found on our campus map .
Where are the toilets?
Our toilets are clearly signposted all over campus and can be found on our campus map.
Can I look around the city afterwards and how do I get there?
If you didn't manage to hop onto a bus tour, you are welcome to look around Norwich afterwards. Buses 25 and 26 run regularly from University Drive (just outside the main car park -p1 on our campus map) to the city centre. The journey lasts approximately 10 minutes.
For more information about the city, please see Visit Norwich .
Can we look around the campus afterwards?
Yes, you are more than welcome to wander around the campus at your leisure.
Can we bring children?
Yes but they must be accompanied by an appropriate adult who carries full responsibility for the child during the Mini Open Day.
Where can I park?
The car parks at UEA fill up very quickly, particularly during term time. To avoid disappointment, we would recommend parking at Costessey Park & Ride (SATNAV postcode NR9 3LX), which is only a 10 minute bus ride from UEA. Buses leave every 20 minutes and stop on campus. Visitors to UEA pay a £1 return charge each. We will email you details about getting to campus just before your tour.
