I am travelling the day before my interview, is there anywhere to stay near the University?

The University offers on-site accommodation at Broadview Lodge which is £55 per night for a single room and £65 per night for a double/twin room. You can contact Broadview Lodge on 01603 591918 or visit their website. Please also see Visit Norwich to search for local places to stay.

What should I wear?

You do not need to wear a suit but you are expected to dress appropriately for an interview.

Who should I contact if I need special arrangements?

Please email with any special requirements.

Can I bring guests?

Yes, applicants can bring guests with them to their interview. However, you will not be permitted to take guests into your test or interview. If you are bringing children, they must be accompanied by and adult who carries full responsibility for the child during the day.

What time should I arrive and how long does the day last?

If you are attending in the morning, you will need to arrive at 09.00am and the day should be finished by 12:30pm. If you are attending in the afternoon, you will need to arrive at 12:00pm and the day should be finished by 04:00pm. You may be able to leave earlier than the end time if you are allocated an earlier interview slot. The interview itself will take no longer than 30 minutes.

Where should I report to on arrival?

When you arrive, you will need to register in Earlham Hall Room 1.07. Earlham Hall is building number 40 on the campus map.

Who should I contact on the day if I am delayed of cannot make it?

Please call the Admissions Office on 01603 591515 if you are running late or won't be able to make your interview for any reason.

What does the day involve?

Once you have registered, you will then be asked to take a short test, where you will be given a number of essay titles and asked to write a short essay on the title of your choice.

Following the test, you will be allocated your interview time slot, which will fall between 10:30am and 12:30pm or 01:30pm and 04:00pm depending on whether you are attending in the morning or afternoon.

Is there an opportunity to find out more about the course?

Yes, you may ask specific questions during your interview.

Are any refreshments provided?

Refreshments will not be provided. However, we have several places to eat on campus. All catering outlets are easy to find; most are located in the Square at the heart of campus. They are all shown as food outlets on the campus map.

When will I find out whether I have been successful in getting a place on the course?

We will aim to notify you of our decision within a week of interview.

I have accepted my interview but can no longer make the date. What should I do?

If you cannot attend the date you selected, please email Law Admissions.

I have received/accepted an interview but I no longer wish to come to the UEA. What should I do?

If you wish to withdraw your application from the School of Law, it is extremely important for you to let the Admissions Office know as soon as possible. Please email indicating your full name, your UCAS Personal ID Number and the reason for your withdrawal.
