The George Duncan Summer Studentship is awarded to an Undergraduate student from UEA or other UK HE Institution to enable them to undertake a research project within the laboratories of the Eye Group at UEA.

Eligibility

  • Level: Undergraduate - between second and third years
  • Courses: Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy or Medicine

What does it cover?

  • Value: £1500 
  • Duration of award: Eight weeks summer placement
  • Tuition fees or maintenance: Maintenance
  • Number available: 1

How do I apply?

  • Applications should be submitted by the student, in conjunction with a host supervisor from the Eye Research Group, to the Head of School of Biological Sciences via Emma Godbold at e.godbold@uea.ac.uk, and should consist of a CV and a 500 word summary of the proposed project, including its aims and the timeline for the experimental studies.
  • Potential supervisors are Dr Michael Wormstone (BIO) and Dr Julie Sanderson (PHA).
  • Scholarship application deadline: The deadline for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 31 January 2017.
