Your University Questions, Answered.

Can you give me any advice on how to choose a course? Amit, Manchester

Our Answer:

With 37,000+ courses you have plenty of choice!

One way to approach choosing a course is to ask yourself these two questions.

  • Do you have a career in mind? If so it may be you have to take a course directly related to it.
  • Is there a subject you really enjoy? This could be a subject you are studying or a hobby or interest.

The UCAS website is one place you could start your search. They have a whole section of their website dedicated to finding the right course. At UEA, we have also put together a handy infographic outlining things you might want to consider when trying to find the right course for you.

Then, once you have narrowed your choices down, why not visit sites such as The Student Room and have a chat with others about the courses you are interested in - many of the people on the site might already be studying what you're looking at.
