Your University Questions, Answered.

Do you offer any leniency on grade requirements for someone with a medical issue? Imogen, Norwich

Our Answer:

It’s really important you tell your school or college about any medical issues that may impact on your exam performance, so that they can notify the relevant examination board. We are not usually able to take medical grounds into account when reviewing your grades, so it’s important your school knows.

You should also make sure you declare any medical issues that may affect your future studies with us on your UCAS form. The more information we have in advance of your arrival, the easier it is for any necessary preparations to be made. For example this could include making reasonable adjustments to support you with your studies or accommodation.

Our Student Support Service offers a wide range of support and advice for all students. Have a look at their web pages for more information.
