Your University Questions, Answered.

Where can I rent/buy a bicycle? Kerry, York

Our Answer:

Norwich is a very bike friendly city, so there are lots of options you could consider when getting a bike.

Even on UEA’s campus we have Dr Bike, a place where you can go and purchase refurbished bikes for a reduced cost as well as getting advice, bicycle repairs and a free to use cycle pump and oil. This is really popular with our students because it helps reduce the cost of owning your own bike.

Dr Bike has its own Facebook page too where you can find useful information and updates about what’s provided.

Norwich has a bike shop called Bicycle Links - a café AND bicycle shop selling new, discounted and second-hand bikes, offering bike hire,  and coffee - perfect.

There is also an Evans Cycles in the city centre which offers a wide range of bikes and bike related products. Similarly, there is Mandarin Cycles, Halfords and Pedal Revolution so you’ll have plenty of options.

Although Norwich does have plenty of places to purchase a bike, don’t be fooled, The Bicycle Shop in Norwich doesn’t sell any bikes. Although it is a good place to ride your bike to for a bite to eat, a drink and catch some live music!

We hope you find the perfect bike!
