Your University Questions, Answered.

What kind of sports teams are there and are they all competitive? Ryan, Colchester

Our Answer:

You name a sport and the chances are you’ll be able to do it at UEA. There’s everything from the more traditional sports like rugby, football, tennis and squash through to the more obscure, such as Quidditch. Yes, you have the chance to become a Norwich Niffler.

You can find a full list of all of the UEA Clubs on the UEA SU website. We're sure you'll find what you're looking for, but if not you can always start a new club. Most of the teams do have a more competitive side, but also welcome people new to the sport or those looking to play just for fun.

And if you're looking to give something new a go or want to take part in a bit of light hearted competition, there are lots of ways to get involved. At UEA we're also really lucky to have the Sportspark on campus which offers discounted rates to UEA student.

UEA competes in the BUCS leagues, and there's also the annual Derby Day clash with local rivals, the University of Essex. The video above pretty much sums it up!
