Your University Questions, Answered.
Do many of your postgraduate degrees come with a distance learning option?
Most of our Postgraduate courses do not have a distance learning option, although we do offer some courses that can be studied in this way. Depending on which subject you’re looking for, our course finder contains all the courses we offer along with details on how they are run such as whether they’re part-time, full-time or online courses, so it’s worth taking a look here so you can type in what you’re interested in.
We’re always reviewing the courses we offer so please do check back later on if you can’t find what you’re looking for on our course finder pages.
An example of a distance learning course at UEA is the MA Creative Writing Crime Fiction part-time course, which is largely taught through having an online tutor, group presentations delivered online and Skype tutorials. With just three visits needing to be made each year to our campus, this is an option for those that would be prefer not to relocate and to have the flexibility of studying online without needing to attend classes.
We also have our Masters of Surgery courses available. These can be studied via e-learning, but please go to our pages to read the course outlines and details in more depth.
You may also been interested in the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCS) that UEA offer via our partner FutureLearn. These are short, online modules on a range of subjects that have been put together and delivered by our academics. And the best part is, they’re free. Whether you want to learn something different or increase your knowledge in a particular area, take a look at what we currently offer.
