Your University Questions, Answered.

How much is car parking for students who need to have a car on campus during their placement period? Jakob, Newcastle

Our Answer:

Here at UEA, we do have options for students that need to park on campus for the duration of a placement.

Please take a look at our parking for students page to see if you think you might be eligible and to see the cost of how much it will be to park. You can complete a Vehicle Registration and Direct Debit form (which are both on the link above). You will need to send this to our travel and transport team and provide confirmation from the school of placement arrangements.

The information of where to send this will be on the form. They will then get back to you as to whether or not you are eligible for a parking permit.

There is also the option of parking at the Costessey Park and Ride and then using the Konect Bus Service 511 to UEA - this is free for UEA staff, students and visitors and is around a 10-20 minute bus journey depending on what time of day you're travelling.

UEA also has other great transport links, and as a UEA student, you will be eligible for a discounted bus pass. For more information, take a look at our transport page.

If you have any further questions regarding parking, you can contact our travel and transport team on transport@uea.ac.uk or call 01603 592353.
