Work abroad as part of your studies Work abroad as part of your studies

Students may choose to work abroad for a semester or an academic year either independently or as part of a pre-organised placement programme (e.g., British Council Language Assistantships). Working abroad greatly enhances both your CV and your professional skills portfolio and increases your employability following graduation.

Students selecting destinations within Europe for work abroad experience, including Year in Industry students, may go through the Erasmus+ programme.

Placements must be between 2-12 months in length, and meet Erasmus eligibility criteria.

You are free to also search for work placements that are advertised online from such genuine companies such as Praxis and websites of organisations such as the Erasmus Student Network's Erasmus Interns.  However your School's Erasmus Co-ordinator must approve all the placement details in advance.
