Dr Nick Scharf is a lecturer in the University of East Anglia's Law School and he teaches on the module Global Media and Communications Law.
What is your favourite thing about teaching at the University of East Anglia?
My favourite things about teaching at the University of East Anglia is the atmosphere on campus and the good relationships that exist between the staff and students. It's a really friendly place and as much as we are there to assist in the students' learning, we also get a lot out of teaching them and getting to know them as people.
What advice would you give to a student considering applying to the UEA's International Summer School?
Do it! Not only will you learn about the substantive area you are interested in, taught by experts in the field, the University and surrounding area have a lot to offer in terms of tourist attractions and opportunities.
What is your highlight during the International Summer School?
My highlight is the teaching I deliver on the Law module; to a group of bright, interested and capable students. It is also a pleasure to attend the awards ceremony and deliver the certificates to the students. On the whole I find it an engaging and rewarding experience, and one I'm looking forward to being part of again.
