  • Undergraduate International Summer School applicants will be contacted after the 31 March early deadline and thereafter within 14 days of submission.
  • Japan Orientation applicants will be contacted by 17 April 2020.
  • Ishibashi Foundation Summer Fellowship applicants will be contacted by 24 April 2020.

Applications for summer study 2020 are now open, including the Undergraduate International Summer School, Japan Orientation and the Ishibashi Foundation Summer Fellowship.

As part of the online application, you will need to provide: 

  • An official version of your current or most recent academic transcripts
  • If you are a non-native English speaker, proof of your English language level
  • A copy of the photo page of your valid passaport 
  • Any supporting documents we ask for

Centre for Japanese Studies Summer Programme Applications

Applications deadline for Japanese Orientation and the Ishibashi Foundation Summer Fellowship programmes is 31 March 2020. We’ll assess your application and let you know how you got on by email. Pre-Registration For All Programmes

You’ll get an email one month before you join UEA, inviting you to pre-register online. You’ll need to do this before you arrive on campus. 

Short-Term Study Visa

If you need a short-term study visa for the UK, you’ll need to apply for one when you have formally accepted your offer. We’ll give you an official letter to help with your visa application.
