Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS)

This is a document which will be emailed to you to enable you to apply for a Student visa. You will need to enter your unique CAS number into your Student visa application. You can’t complete your application without it.

Once you have accepted your offer from UEA and around three months before your course starts, UEA will send you a preview of your CAS, this has the details from your CAS, but not the CAS number. You need to check this very carefully to make sure everything is correct. UEA will send plenty of information to help you check this. You will need to check information from your offer letter, from your passport and about the money you have already paid to the University. Please also check the “other evidence” section as this may detail documents that you may need to provide as part of your visa application, if it does these need to be original documents and if they are not in English then you need to have official translations.

Once you have confirmed that you have checked everything, or UEA has corrected any error, and you have confirmed that all the details on your CAS are correct, UEA will send you your CAS, by email, and you can complete your tier 4 visa application.

Please keep your CAS in a safe place as you may need the information in the future.

If you have any questions about your CAS preview, please reply to the emails you have received about your CAS.
