Here are some of the things they have to say Here are some of the things they have to say

Emma Webb

English Literature, Year 2

"My favourite thing about being a student is the endless amount of things to do outside of my degree. I have seen amazing productions of Shakespeare plays, watched 'Ted's band from Scrubs' live on campus and have performed myself at cabaret nights in Norwich city centre. None of this would have happened if I had stayed at home in Billericay!"

Helena Murphy

Law, Year Two

"I'm a student writer/ filmmaker with big ambitions. I enjoy the odd zombie fest, a good book and making films, and hope to work in television and or film production in the near future."

Hannah Peasland

English Literature, Year 2

"English at university is immense. I hope to go into a career in writing so I am grabbing as much experience as I can. I've also done voluntary work on the radio in my hometown with Essex Hospital and BBC Radio Suffolk. University has given me the confidence to try new things, and the mindset to aim higher – the sky is definitely the limit!"

Poppy Jones

Literature and History, Year Two

"I am excited about an upcoming trip to the Lake District, which I am organising! I am going with the Fell Club, and a group of us are spending a weekend walking in the mountains. In the meantime, I'm really enjoying my course as I get to study some of my favourite authors this semester: Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters!"

Dan Youmans

Politics, between Year Two and Year Three

"Hi, I'm Dan! I'm 20, and from Leicester in the East Midlands. I'm really, really interested in cooking, music and travelling. I love the campus feel and community atmosphere at the University of East Anglia! I'm a politics student, currently working for the Students' Union on a sabbatical (year off) from my studies."

Ellie Douglas

English Literature, Year Two

"At university I get to meet people from all over the world because they've come to study in the UK. In my first year I lived with people from Canada, America, Australia and France. When I go travelling after uni I will have people to stay with and show me around!"
