This is University: UEA Summer School 2020

COVID-19 Announcement

You may have seen that UEA has taken the decision to postphone public events until after the Easter break, due to the concern relating to COVID-19. We just want to reassure you that we're monitoring the situation carefully and at present we are still planning to run our summer events. For now please register your interest in these events and we will then be able to keep in touch with you as we have further news. We will of course update these webpages as a matter of course with news too.

Please be assured if you were due to attend an event and it has been cancelled we are working hard to provide you with the relevant information in the meantime without you having to visit campus in person.

Experience life at university this summer!

Our summer school offers a two-day residential over the 27th – 28th of July 2020 for Year 12 students. This programme will give students the opportunity to discover UEA life, as well as providing essential study skills and wellbeing support.

Register your interest in our programme below!

Why should I attend?

This unique summer school opportunity for Year 12 students will provide them with the essential skills to prepare for university, while also introducing them to the many innovative and remarkable experiences on offer at UEA. The programme involves a two-day residential at our award-winning campus, packed with study sessions, social activities and insight into everything you need to know before becoming an undergraduate.

The school will focus on various topics including student life, finances, and personal wellbeing. In addition, we will provide UCAS support and give you the chance to discover more about the various undergraduate subjects available at our world-leading research university. With the support of our fantastic student ambassadors, we hope you’ll also build friendships with like-minded students while you’re here.

If you attend, you will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the school to help give you a boost when it comes to writing your personal statement. You’ll leave with a better idea of what it is like to be a university student and improved confidence to be able to pursue your passions.

Most of all, at our summer school you will experience university life first-hand. You’ll learn by doing.
