Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey was founded in 1766 and is the eighth oldest institution of higher learning in the US. Rutgers University – New Brunswick is the flagship campus of Rutgers University as designated by the Association of American Universities (AAU).
The New Brunswick campus is actually split into five smaller residential campuses: Busch Campus, College Avenue Campus, Douglass Campus, George H. Cook Campus, and Livingston Campus. Each residential campus has its own student centre and dining options. There are more than 400 student clubs and organisations, including more than 80 fraternities and sororities.
Just a step outside your door and you're welcomed into a vibrant city with a thriving arts community and a happening downtown.
