The University of Bologna was the first ever university, and therefore now the oldest in the world. It is located in Bologna, northern Italy, which is renowned as Italy’s gastronomic capital. Today the university counts 85,500 students in 11 schools, with campuses in various parts of Bologna and also a branch abroad in Buenos Aires.
