Biography

Martin Gill graduated with an MSc. (Applied Social Sciences) and Certificate of Qualification in Social Work from the University of Oxford in 1984, and was employed as a Probation Officer in a range of settings until 2004. He then worked as an independent social worker in a Children’s Service team, and undertook specialist risk assessments for Children’s Services. Martin holds the GSCC Practice Teaching Award (UEA 2004) and been an independent practice teacher, a mentor on the UEA Practice Teaching Programme, a distance-learning tutor on the BA in Community and Criminal Justice for De Montfort University, and Lecturer on the BA (Hons.) Applied Social Work at City College Norwich from 2006 – 2009.
