Key Research Interests

Birgit's PhD research involved secondary analysis of administrative police data (N=17,000) and narrative analysis of life history interviews with young women who had offended and were referred to restorative justice in the UK. Her general research interests include offending and victimisation, particularly as it relates to young people from a care background and to women.
