Fully Funded PhD Studentships in Psychology
Deadline: 9 September 2016
Start date: 3 January 2017
In addition to the above specific funded topics, the School of Psychology and the Faculty of Social Sciences Graduate School offer competitive studentships for postgraduate research annually, closing mid-February. Additionally we welcome inquiries from candidates with their own funding.
Before applying, please contact a supervisor working in the relevant area, or the Director of Postgraduate Research Dr Martin Doherty.
Applications for all studentships are invited from suitably qualified graduates. Candidates should typically hold, or expect to hold, a first degree with a minimum of 2:1 and a Master’s degree with research methods training appropriate to the discipline, with a dissertation mark of at least 65%. Candidates who have studied outside of the UK should typically hold, or expect to hold, qualifications at an equivalent level to those mentioned above. Candidates will be interviewed, usually via telephone or Skype, as part of the selection process. EU and International applicants may be required to provide evidence of competence in the English Language.
The studentship covers tuition fees (UK/EU rates), a tax-free maintenance grant (currently £14,296 per year), and a research training support grant. Please contact the Director of Postgraduate Research, Dr Martin Doherty, or the Topic Supervisor.
