Marianna graduated with a first class BEd Honours in Primary Education at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2013. She completed her MA in Specific Learning Difficulties (dyslexia) at UCL Institute of Education in 2015.
After the completion of her MA, Marianna received the Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) qualification.
Marianna was awarded a PhD studentship to research at UEA’s School of Psychology, starting in October 2015. Under the supervision of Dr Paul Engelhardt, Marianna is researching the etiological risk factors for dyslexia and ADHD.
Key Research Interests
Marianna is interested in investigating the etiological cognitive risk factors of comorbidity of dyslexia and ADHD. More specifically, she will be conducting experiments employing standardised assessments and eye-tracking in typically developing and dyslexic adults to examine the importance of working memory, processing speed and sentence processing.
