School of Psychology achieves Athena Swan Bronze Award
We are delighted to announce that the School of Psychology have achieved the Athena Swan Bronze Award.
The ECU’s Athena SWAN Charter launched in 2005 recognises commitment to advancing women's careers in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) employment in higher education and research. It aims to assist the recruitment, retention and promotion of women in STEMM.
Since joining the Athena SWAN charter the School of Psychology Athena Swan committee has worked hard to analyse staff and student data to review many areas of working practice to look carefully for any evidence or perception of gender inequality and to nurture a supportive culture that fully values all staff members.
The committee will be presented with collect the award at a ceremony held on 15 June 2015 at the University of Greenwich.
