Psychology Students enter the Dragons' Den!
In March of this year, Second Year Psychology Students at UEA took part in a two day residential at Wensum Valley Golf Club. The event was hosted by the School and the UEA Annual Fund with the aim of showing the students how they could use their Psychology degree in the real world and what they can offer a future employer.
Head of School, Professor Kenny Coventry said; “the students were given a full, commercial briefing by consultant Peter Kerr, and, with the aid of academic colleagues from the School, spent an intense two days working up their business case which they presented to the ‘Dragons' Den’ panel.”
The residential (free to the students) gave them an insight into the professional world of employment, showed how they can use their psychology skills to great effect and gave them a confidence on working together in teams that they would not get from any other part of the course.
The School intends to host the event every year as it continues to deliver a degree programme that gives students all that they need for a fulfilling, employed, future.
